Hi! My hubby will be opening some businesses in Rome and we will be going for the openings mid January 2012-February 2012…I will be traveling with my 2 year old Georgiana and we are looking for an apartment to rent. We are looking for an aprtment with at least 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer. I am a NYC gal who married a cowboy and we live out West in the USA. I used to work for a big chef in NYC, so I am secretly still a foodie although it has become tough to remain this way being 40 with a 2 year old…Any advise on a great neighborhood with great museums, restaurants, fashion, and grassland for Gigi? Do you know of any great rentals? It will be my first time in Rome.

Hi Kate, I just sent you a quick note. I am not sure if you will be in Rome permanently or for one month. If short term, CENTRO STORICO. Long term– you need to think about location, needs and school stuff. Check your mail- and I’d love to talk about this. We just moved with our nearly 3 year old and 9 year old– my needs were simple: gelato. xox e
